Peripheral vascular conditions affect the blood vessels outside of the heart and brain, often leading to reduced blood flow, which can cause pain, swelling, and other serious health issues. To diagnose and treat these conditions, healthcare providers rely on a variety of specialised medical devices.
Angiographic catheters diagnose vessel blockages, thrombolysis catheters treat blood clots, introducer kits enable safe catheter insertion, and venous laser ablation treats varicose veins. Each of these devices is crucial for managing peripheral vascular conditions effectively.
Medical Specialties Australasia provides a range of peripheral vascular devices to support Australian clinicians in their pursuit of improved patient care.

Angiographic Catheters

Soft-Vu
Advanced Engineering for Superior Performance.
Our standard Soft-Vu catheters are available in lengths from 25-140 cm. Our hydrophilic-coated Mariner angiographic catheters are available in lengths up to 150 cm.

Mariner Hydrophilic Catheters
Taking Interventional Performance to New Heights.
Mariner Hydrophilic-Coated Angiographic Catheters feature Duration Coating Technology, which promotes smooth navigation, as the innovative coating technology reduces catheter surface friction by as much as 90%.
Mariner catheters require no initial pre-wetting. The distal end of the catheter (approx. 20 cm length) is hydrophilic-coated, allowing for smooth navigation and optimum control.
Longer angiographic catheter lengths are ideal for accessing more distal regions of the vascular anatomy. Standard angiographic catheters are limited to 110cm; however, AngioDynamics offers hydrophilic-coated Mariner angiographic catheters up to 150 cm.

Accu-Vu
The Accu-Vu Sizing Catheter stands out for its unparalleled precision and diverse selection, living up to its promise of being first in precision and best in selection. It is equipped with radiopaque markers that guarantee consistent placement within an impressive accuracy of +/-1 mm across all sizes. The catheter’s design includes a strategically positioned first marker for optimal placement above the renal artery, enhancing procedural efficiency by limiting unnecessary contrast fill and reducing contrast volume used. Additionally, its soft yet suitably rigid tip ensures safer and quicker navigation to the desired anatomical site. With an extensive range of both 4 French and 5 French sizes, the Accu-Vu Sizing Catheter meets the needs of various anatomical and procedural requirements, ensuring a perfect match for nearly any scenario.

Thrombolysis Catheters

Uni-Fuse
Innovative Slits for Consistent, Even Distribution of Lytic Agent.
Catheter Directed Thrombolysis (CDT) offers many advantages over alternative treatments and is a viable option for managing thrombus. For over 20 years AngioDynamics has been the market leader for CDT catheters with its innovative slit technology to infuse a consistent, even distribution of lytic agent to an area of the clot. The Uni*Fuse catheter uses this time-tested technology to provide faster and more effective treatment for clots, and its sturdier construction makes it more versatile.
Introducer Kits

Micro-Introducer Kits
Micro-introducer kits from AngioDynamics include the finest tools available for .018″ guidewire placement during vascular procedures.

Mini Stick MAX
Introducing the latest addition to the AngioDynamics family of peripheral vascular access kits. Designed with innovation in mind, the Mini Stick MAX 0.018” Coaxial Microintroducer Kits feature an enhanced range of components to meet your changing access needs.

Venous Laser Ablation

VenaCure 1470
As a water-specific laser, the VenaCure 1470 Pro laser targets water as the chromophore to absorb the laser energy. Since the vein structure is mostly water, it is theorized that the 1470 nm laser wavelength efficiently heats endothelial cells with a low risk of collateral damage, resulting in optimal vein ablation.
It is designed to work exclusively with the range of AngioDynamics fibres, including the NeverTouch fibres. Maximizing these two technologies can result in even better patient outcomes1. The 1470 nm laser allows effective vein ablation with the targeted energy of 30-50 joules/cm at a setting of 5-7 watts.

NeverTouch
The new NeverTouch gold-tip laser fiber establishes a new standard for patient comfort, visibility and ease of use. The gold-tip fiber eliminates laser tip contact with the vein wall, which in turn minimises perforations of the vein wall that typically result in pain and bruising as compared to traditional bare-tip fibers. The gold-tip also maximises ultrasonic visibility, making it easier for physicians to use.

400 Micron Accessory Vein Ablation Kit
AngioDynamics’ VenaCure EVLT endovenous laser vein treatment offers patients a minimally invasive choice for treating the source of their varicose veins and provides them with a potentially quicker recovery and return to normal daily routines, as compared to surgical stripping.

Tumescence Pump
Experience the Nouvag Infiltration Pump Dispenser DP30 with its high-performance pump system. Preset the pump performance and work hands-free by using the foot pedal.
The Dispenser DP30 is a universally usable and controllable infiltration pump that is highly suitable for deployment in tumescent applications and in vein treatments.
The percentage infiltration amount is controlled using the rotary potentiometer and the foot pedal.
